About this tour

Embark on a 10-day unforgettable adventure, combining the best of Tanzania’s iconic wildlife reserves with the tranquil allure of Zanzibar’s beaches. This expertly crafted itinerary offers an exciting fly-in safari experience, ensuring you land straight in the heart of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife regions. Arriving at Seronera Airstrip in Central Serengeti, you’ll be greeted by dramatic landscapes filled with vast plains, river systems, and an abundance of animals, setting the tone for your safari adventure.

During the first few days of the trip, you’ll experience the magic of Serengeti’s wildlife, with multiple game drives allowing you to observe lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a host of other animals. The Serengeti’s open savannahs offer unparalleled opportunities for observing animal behavior, particularly the famous predator-prey dynamics, making it a perfect spot for photography and wildlife enthusiasts alike.

Next, you’ll head to the Ngorongoro Crater, a geological marvel and UNESCO World Heritage site. This extinct volcano is a natural wildlife sanctuary, home to the Big Five and many other species that inhabit its lush floor. The stunning views, rich wildlife, and dramatic landscapes make this one of the highlights of your trip. Here, you’ll embark on a thrilling game drive in the crater before moving towards Zanzibar.

The final leg of your adventure takes you to Zanzibar, a stunning island destination with a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration. After your action-packed safari, enjoy six days of downtime on Zanzibar’s picturesque beaches, soaking up the sun, swimming in the turquoise waters, and exploring the historical marvels of Stone Town. Whether you’re wandering through spice plantations, snorkeling in the Indian Ocean, or simply enjoying the island’s laid-back atmosphere, Zanzibar offers the ideal complement to the rugged beauty of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

This journey promises to be an unforgettable blend of thrilling safaris and serene beach relaxation, allowing you to experience the best of both worlds in one seamless trip.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip in the Central Serengeti, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and transferred to your lodge. After settling in and refreshing, embark on your first game drive in the Seronera area, an iconic region of the Serengeti known for its high wildlife density. The area’s river systems attract large groups of elephants and buffalo, while predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards are often spotted here. Return to your lodge in the evening to relax, enjoy dinner, and unwind under the African skies.

Meals

Lunch & Dinner

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll spend the day exploring the vast plains of the Central Serengeti, an area famous for its abundant wildlife. The region is home to various predators, including lions and leopards, and also offers opportunities to see massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive cheetah or a solitary rhino. With lunch served in the wilderness, your game drive continues until evening. As the sun sets over the plains, return to your lodge for a peaceful night’s rest.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

This morning, depart from the Serengeti after breakfast and drive towards Ngorongoro Crater, with a brief stop at the Nyangoro Crater rim for scenic views. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a game drive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater is home to a huge diversity of wildlife, including the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. The lush grasslands, forests, and swamps within the crater floor provide ideal habitats for these animals. In the evening, drive to your lodge near the Ngorongoro Crater rim to relax and prepare for tomorrow’s game drive.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning of game viewing. The crater floor, often referred to as Africa’s Garden of Eden, is one of the best places to spot wildlife in its natural habitat. The early morning hours are perfect for encountering lions, elephants, and herds of wildebeests grazing peacefully. After a full morning of game viewing, you’ll ascend the crater and head back to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to your hotel where you’ll enjoy a relaxed evening by the beach.
